If you've been to Cherry Capital Airport in Traverse City and wanted to grab a snack, a beverage or a last minute must have before the flight then you've been to the stage of our Project Spotlight for February 2026 - The Cherry Country Cafe & Gift Shop!
As the airport is growing the need for more ammenties has been impossible to ignore. Cherry Cafe is in progress of updating, reconfiguring and expanding the cafe. The redesign and updates will allow a better flow for customers & staff. This update will allow space for a few more self checkout kiosks(always nice when you're in a hurry!) with a quicker in/out process.
Additionally the expansion will add more storage and a larger kitchen space. These changes will help the staff provide you more food selection as they make all their sandwiches, soups, pies, and scones in house.
With all of these large changes happening Cherry Cafe wanted to update their look and decided to embrace cherry wood througout their establishment. However some things can't come in true wood finish. That's where Epicenter came in!
One of the items that needed a glow up were the airpots that hold Leelanau Coffee's decadent flavors. We were able to design the wraps and labels to accent the new look.

Additionally we were able to wrap their cooler. This ice is not for travelers and is instead to service the airlines. The cooler was brand new from GTR but the overall look screamed sports center or gas station staple.

The design that encompasses the cooler was created by the interior designer who put the rest of the cafe together and Epicenter stepped in to bring his idea up to life. The cooler now blends in with its surroundings, and looks as high class as everything else that is coming!
The next time you're on your way out of Traverse City by means of the airport, stop by and grab a sandwich, a coffee or last minute gift and know you're stepping into a cafe that believes in making your travel experience the best!
We were happy to partner with them and share their adventure with you for Epicenter Project Spotlight!
