For Epicenter Project Spotlight- November 2025, We’re excited to shine the spotlight on our neighbors at Benzie Bus and their Health Rides program — it’s doing great things for our community.

The Health Rides program powered by Benzie Bus is a non-emergency medical transportation service that provides rides to doctor visits & other healthcare appointments. This service spans over Benzie county and offers rides into surrounding areas like Grand Traverse, Leelanau, Manistee and even Wexford counties.

Getting the care you need should be easy!

Benzie Bus’s Health Rides service has recently expanded to run five days a week (Monday through Friday), which is a big step up in availability. This means folks who need transportation — seniors, folks with mobility challenges, anyone without easy access to a vehicle — now have more flexibility to get to doctor’s visits, therapy, and other important appointments. 

Just in 2023 alone, Benzie Bus delivered nearly 8,000 medical rides. Beyond just giving rides, this program is helping reduce missed appointments, boost preventive care, and improve overall well-being for many folks here in Benzie County.

What makes this extra special to us at Epicenter is that we got to partner in a small way: we wrapped their newest addition — a van — to help this program reach even more people.  We were provided a flyer that set the tone/feel of the program and we were able to expand upon it and creative an eye catching wrap.
