From start to finish: The journey of a decal through the final stages.

After a decal sheet is printed, you are approximately halfway through the process. Each sheet must undergo additional steps before it is ready for application. In some cases, a sheet is laminated. Lamination involves applying a clear protective layer over the print, which helps prevent scratches and protects the decal from UV light exposure.

Once the sheet is laminated, it is loaded onto our Graphtec cutter. The cutter then performs a kiss cut, also known as a contour cut, on the vinyl. The cutting path is dictated by the file and the finalized artwork. After the kiss cut, the excess vinyl is removed in a process known as weeding, leaving only the decal. For intricate graphics, transfer tape is applied to facilitate easy application to various surfaces.

Once the sheet is fully weeded and transfer tape applied the sheet is cut down into strips. These strips are fed through our guillotine cutter which is efficient at cutting through large stacks of material. This will result in individual decals that are then bagged up and are ready for pick up!

Each step is crucial to the final product and is the steps we take to result in the decal of your choosing!
